Song 1:9 ¶ “To me, my darling, you are like
My mare among the chariots of Pharaoh.
Song 1:10 “Your cheeks are lovely with ornaments,
Your neck with strings of beads.”
Song 1:11 ¶ “We will make for you ornaments of gold
With beads of silver.”
The Bridegroom is affirming the YES in her heart to please Him as a way of life. A the broken horse speaks of surrender, the image of the neck with a string of pearls also does. In the Song of Solomon, the neck always speaks of the Human will. Just as she wore the head with strings of pearls over her face reveals the glow of growing Lovesickness on her countenance, the string of pearls around her neck is an image of a rended heart and will in response to His great love. Remember the pearls are public declarations that I’m His PEARL OF GREAT PRICE, and He is mine, and that my life is lived set apart for His pleasure. Rev.19:7-8, tells us that we, in this life, as The Bride of Christ, are making ourselves ready for a wedding that will take place in the Age to come. We are given fine linen, which is the righteous acts the saints, as we prepare our wedding garment. Every graced empowerd righteous act we do adds to the beauty of that garment. I’d like to believe that with every freely chosen act of loves obedience (Jn.14:15), and surrender, adds another pearl to our wedding necklace. Every act of love, expressed in our joyful submission, is another expression of our separation unto Him
