On September 18th , last Thursday night, I was on my back porch with a friend, and we were doing some serious worship. The chorus of the worship song that we were singing over and over again simply said, “Your name be lifted higher.” As we sang loudly that chorus again and again, the Lord began to speak very clearly into my spirit. He flashed before my mind all the news reports that were constantly being broadcasted about the terrorist group Isis. I realized a spirit of fear, as a result of this groups activity, was being released all over the world, especially here in America. Even broadcasters who I knew were believers were consumed with the threat of Isis. It was everywhere, on every channel, and on every Internet news report. I realized, as I was worshiping, that I had allowed myself to be caught up into this drama. I knew that the Lord was trying to show me that if I have been caught up in this threatening environment, that Christians all over this country were being threatened and being concerned about whether Isis could be stopped. Then I heard the Lord say, “People have allowed Islam and demonic terrorist to be the lead story, and the main topic of conversation.” Inadvertently, Islam was being exalted and had become the major conversation. He then said, “The only front-page story that Christians need to be concerned with, and their major topic of conversation, should be Jesus and what He is up to on the earth today, which can’t be stopped.” Jesus is igniting the fires of revival in different places all over the earth today, and we are on the verge of the greatest move of God in human history. That is the real story, that is the front page news. All other stories are back pages stories. The powers of darkness are trying to divert us from the real story to get our attention on darkness.
It is not that Isis is unimportant, or the terrorist groups like that shouldn’t be dealt with. Of course they should be, the human suffering they cause is horrific. Even in light of that though, we can’t be so drawn into darkness that we practice the presence of darkness, instead of walking in the light where Jesus lives to dispel darkness. Rev.6 says, “He came conquering and to conquer,” and as bad as groups like Isis are, the truth is that there are things going on, on the world scene, that aren’t being reported, and it is THE BIG STORY!!! ASLAN IS ON THE MOVE, AND HE IS MAKING ALL THINGS NEW!!!! Revival is Now, and is coming to a theatre near you.
