Heb. 13:5 … for He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,”
2Tim. 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
Gal. 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Have you ever felt that The Lord has simply abandoned you, forgotten you, or has forsaken you? Don’t misinterpret His silence as rejection. You are In Christ, therefore you are part of Him. If you are part of Him then He can’t abandon you or forget about you. He can’t deny Himself, and since you are In Him, He can’t forget or deny you. Those feelings of being abandoned are straight from Hell.
Jesus is always at work in your life, though at times it may feel and seem silent. You can rest in that truth. He can’t forget Himself. The question in those times, is “What is He up to?” The answer often is, “We simply don’t know.” What we do know is that He never slumbers or sleeps, but is always being Himself, doing the work of Reigning and Governing, and if you’ll just trust Him, you’ll see and experience, not only that He causes all things to work together for the good, but also that His will is good, perfect, and acceptable.
When you feel forgotten, simply pray, “Lord I don’t know what you are up to, but I KNOW You haven’t abandoned me in this moment and situation because I’m In You, and You can’t deny Yourself, so I’ll just thank for all you are doing that I can’t yet see but, that in Your perfect timing, I will see.”
