Jesus said in John 8:23, that He lived a life from above life, while the Jewish leaders were living a life from below life. Even though Jesus was living on the earth, He was still heavenly minded. He saw things from heaven’s perspective, and in Christ we get to live the same way. Jesus didn’t just see a crippled man; from heaven’s perspective he saw a crippled man healed; and because He saw that, He declared it by faith, and heaven’s reality became the crippled man’s reality on earth. Being in Christ, seated in the Heavenly Places, changes the way we view, and thus react, to every situation in life. The reality of this fallen world is totally different from that which is real in Heaven, and one of our mandates on earth is to declare and enforce the reality of the Kingdom of God into every situation. It’s our seated position in Christ, above the fallen realm of earth, that allows us to see the mind of Christ for every circumstance, and then to by faith release the Kingdom there.
