Luke 2:25 And there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27 And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to carry out for Him the custom of the Law, 28 then he took Him into his arms, and blessed God, and said,
29 “Now Lord, You are releasing Your bond-servant to depart in peace,
According to Your word;
30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation,
Let’s have some fun with truth.
What we see and hear is what we manifest. The way Colossians 3 explains it is, we manifest what our mind is set on. I heard someone recently put it very simply, “we say what we see.” This is how biblical faith operates. Look at what 2 Corinthians 4:13 says about faith. “But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore also we speak.” What we believe in our heart, we confess with our mouth, according to Romans 17; and we believe in our heart according to what we see with our minds eye. In other words what we see and hear is what we believe; and what we believe is what we bear witness of, or manifest. Let’s take this a step further; if what we see is what we say; according to the Bible what we say will end up being what we see manifested in the natural, by the working of the Holy Spirit. What we see in the invisible realm is what we will bear witness of, and what we bear witness, the Holy Spirit will make real in the natural realm. Let me even take this one step further; using Simeon is our example, what you say is what you see, and what you see is what you are looking for. If you are, as an intentional lifestyle, seeking Jesus (looking for Him) , and looking to Him, as your moment by moment attitude, then you will start seeing clearly what He is up to around you, in you, and desiring to do through you. He, His presence, and His activity then become your confession step-by-step, and at that point The Holy Spirit brings realization by His power to what you’re seeing and saying.
Lookers see; seers say, and sayers see. This principle is true whether you were looking at darkness which will end up manifesting darkness, oh you’re looking at light, which always dispels darkness.
