4 “Draw me after you and let us run together!
The king has brought me into his chambers.”
“We will rejoice in you and be glad;
We will extol your love more than wine.
Rightly do they love you.”
Even if you should never see His hand at work again in your life is His face enough. David said his one desire was to dwell in the presence of The Lord all the days of his life and behold The Lords beauty. I watch so many people, especially Clergy try to find their joy in ministry, popularity, and influence. If anything other than His presence is your hearts satisfaction then you set yourself up for constant heartache.
Hab. 3:17 Though the fig tree should not blossom
And there be no fruit on the vines,
Though the yield of the olive should fail
And the fields produce no food,
Though the flock should be cut off from the fold
And there be no cattle in the stalls,
Hab. 3:18 Yet I will exult in the LORD,
I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
Sometimes it seems that everything is going wrong, but our great protection is to be adorned with the beauty of His presence. His presence is our refuge, and knowing you are cherished by Him, even if everyone turns on you, keeps you in a place of joy unspeakable full of glory (presence). He wants His person, not His acts to be the source of our heart gladness. Those who have signed up to be Hidden Ones spend so much time beholding Him; marinating in His presence and affection, that He alone becomes their Magnificent Possession.
