2 “May he kiss me with the kisses of his mouth!
For your love is better than wine.
3 “Your oils have a pleasing fragrance,
Your name is like purified oil;
Therefore the maidens love you.
4 “Take me away with you and let’s hurry!
The song Solomon simply starts out by saying that it is the Song of Songs. In other words, it declares that it is the greatest song ever sung. Is the greatest song because it reveals a few lines of the love song of the Slain Lamb that he sings over his bride. It is a partial revelation of His great love sung over us. Revelation chapter 15 verse three says, “and they sang the song of Moses the bondservant of God and the song of the Lamb.” The next verses in Revelation 15 record the song of Moses, but we don’t see the Song of the Slain Lamb. I believe that song, the Song of the Lamb, is the Song Solomon. It’s not the whole song, but it is a glorious snippet, revealing the nature of His lovesickness. Listen to this amazing verse from Zephaniah chapter 3 verse 17. “The Lord your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will renew you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” This is eternity’s song that He will be signing over us as His bride throughout the ages. I believe this will be one of the best parts of the Heavens. Can you imagine what it’s going to be like experiencing the transcendent, unfiltered beauty of His presence, and that voice that the Old Testament simply describes as THE VOICE, singing over us the inexplicable love of God throughout eternity. THAT WILL BE THE SOUNDTRACK OF HEAVEN. But here is the good news, we don’t have to wait to get to heaven to hear him singing His Lovesong over us. He wants us to begin to hear the sounds now. Though we may not totally comprehend on this side, or even get to hear all the verses of the song on the side, those who have chosen to be Hidden Ones, living behind the veil get to hear His song the clearest. I believe it’s possible to be so drawn into His love behind the veil, in the Secret Place, that His song of a Ravished Heart becomes our soundtrack even now, here in the battle.
