Ephesians 3:12 NASB95
in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith His faith.
Because we are in Christ, we have confident access to the Father through the faith of Jesus. Paul’s argument here is that Jesus always has bold and confident access to the Father. His faith in His place face-to-face before the Father is unwavering, and because we have been placed into the life of Christ, His faith is our faith. The Holy Spirit is not saying here that because Jesus is certain He belongs in the Father’s presence that He creates a way for us to enter in. He is the way. He is our way! Because we have been grafted into Christ, we have also been grafted into His faith, and that would not just be true about His faith in accessing the Father’s presence; it would be true about everything in life. We, in Christ, abide in Him and His faith for all things. Have you ever wavered in doubt or unbelief. Well, if you ever have, then I have a word for you; GET OVER YOURSELF! It doesn’t matter if you struggle with unbelief because Jesus doesn’t, and you are in union with Him. If you’ve ever struggled to believe that you are welcome in the Father’s presence because of your imperfections, then grace unbends you. You can boldly and confidently celebrate the fact that you belong there because Jesus believes that He does, and Christ is your life. Have you ever had weak faith when facing situations and temptations, then grace unbends you because Jesus takes your weak faith and adds it to His perfect faith and offers it to God as yours. 2 Timothy 2:13 says, “Even when we believe not, He abides faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.” Because we are In Him, our faith is to boldly rest in His faith for all things, including our place in the Father’s presence.
