Song 3:1 “On my bed night after night I sought him
Whom my soul loves;
I sought him but did not find him.
Song 3:2 ‘I must arise now and go about the city;
In the streets and in the squares
I must seek him whom my soul loves.’
I sought him but did not find him.
Song 3:3 “The watchmen who make the rounds in the city found me,
And I said, ‘Have you seen him whom my soul loves?’
Song 3:4 “Scarcely had I left them
When I found him whom my soul loves;
I held on to him and would not let him go
Until I had brought him to my mother’s house,
And into the room of her who conceived me.”
Leaders serve us by leading us to Jesus. Sometimes they don’t know how, but don’t be discouraged, because Jesus is nearer than you realize, and He always makes sure a seeking heart finds Him. When you are at a place of desperation that can’t live without His manifest presence; you won’t. If you can live without His glory, you will. He is always found, and I mean always, by a seeking heart. When she found Him; because He made Himself very findable; she held on to Him, as if He were the most precious treasure in her life. He is clearly becoming her magnificent obsession. She (We) had always been His magnificent obsession; even from eternity past He has held on to us. That is why, when man fell, God didn’t just start over. There was only two of them. Why not just start over. The answer is that it was already too late. He was already in love with you, from eternity past, with a magnificent obsession, and He just couldn’t, and won’t ever, let you go.
