One Thing 12/17/14

Song 3:4 “Scarcely had I left them
When I found him whom my soul loves;
I held on to him and would not let him go
Until I had brought him to my mother’s house,
And into the room of her who conceived me.”

The term “Mother” in the Song I believe refers to the Holy Spirit and His ministry in our lives. When she delayed her response to The Lord, as He called her to rise up and follow and seek Him at a new level, she grieved and quenched the Holy Spirit. When she realizes that She “must rise now” to seek Him, she of course finds Him, and is more intentional than ever to allow the Holy Spirit to control her. It always amazes me to be reminded that the One Who calls me to love Him, and follow Him, gives me the Holy Spirit so that I can. You see everything that Jesus requires of me, He, by the Holy Spirit, is prepared to empower me to do. “Faithful is He who calls you, Who also will do it.” 1Thess.5:24 KJV. When we fail, we don’t just confess, and repent, but we also re-establish the Holy Spirit as Lord, and start drawing again from the same supernatural grace and power that once birthed me spiritually into the kingdom. The same Holy Spirit that conceived you in power to become New Creations, lives in you now to release in you that same power, moment by moment , to be the New Creations you become.
