Song 8:11 “Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-hamon;
He entrusted the vineyard to caretakers.
Each one was to bring a thousand shekels of silver for its fruit.
Song 8:12 “My very own vineyard is at my disposal;
The thousand shekels are for you, Solomon,
And two hundred are for those who take care of its fruit.”
John 15 says that we are chosen, and appointed to go forth and bear fruit that would remain. We are called to be caretakers of our heart relationship with Jesus, and to bear much fruit. The fruit of ever increasing Presence, Favor, and Influence is our joy and destiny. To walk in a place where no known corners of your heart is given over to compromise positions your life to be abundantly fruitful. He wants to harvest our whole hearts, for that’s what He gave the dowry of His very life for. He longs for wholehearted lovers to live equally yoked with Him in His wholehearted love for us. I love verse 12, because it reveals a Bride who now lives for His pleasure. The fruitfulness of her life is sold and she lays the reward of a 1000 shekels at His feet. He is the fruit producer, and we are the fruit bearers, and our privilege is to lay the reward of glory, and influence at His feet in worship and adoration. Ephesians talks about “to the praise of the glory of His grace.” Only a 100% yielded heart can have a 100 fold harvest, but it is all because of His grace. We celebrate the joy of increasing fruitfulness, but the greatest joy of a Lovesick Bride is to give Him all the rewards. Having your heart finally at your disposal os to live a life of grateful praise.
