Wonder-full Things  5/30/2021 It Remains Alone

Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. John 12:24

When I added this verse to the end of my last devotional, part of it jumped out at me as if I had never read it before in my life: “it remains alone. Then I thought about the devotional Being Born Into Christ.  If a person doesn’t die and then be born again into Christ, they remain utterly alone.  They live their entire life separated from God and continually trying to connect with someone, anyone.  Then the saying “We all die alone” becomes a reality for that person.  That is a lonely and hopeless way to live.

But God..

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)  Ephesians 2:4-5

You may feel alone at times, but In Christ you are never alone for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you (Hebrews 13:5).
