God is raising up an army of the Living Dead. A crucified army who will overcome the enemy because they “love not their lives even unto death.” These are surrendered warriors who have embraced “the sentence of death” of 2Corinthians 1:9,(“indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves in order that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead;”). They will go forth abandoning all trust in their own ability or in anything or anyone but Jesus. They will have no back up plan. They will risk it all on Him.
Rom.12:1 says to present our bodies “a living sacrifice”, thus, The Living Dead. Crucified ones(Gal.2:20), who will allow Christ to live through them wherever they are called to serve.
Rev.12:11 says “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even unto to death”. Without the heart of a crucified one, the Blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony will not be enough to overcome our adversary in this winner takes all cosmic conflict.
Listen to Paul’s testimony before the church at Ephesus. “And now, behold, bound in sprirt, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in everything, suing that bonds and afflictions that await me. But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, in order that I may finish my course, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.” This is the testimony of the walking dead.
In speaking this word to me, the Lord began to show me something that blew me away. Through out human history, God has often used the activity of the lost to speak to His people, and to direct His purposes. An example would be when Caesar Augustus decided to take a census and had everybody go back to their ancestral home place. He was building a statue of himself in Rome because he had declared himself to be a god. The census was not just about new taxes to be paid to this Caesar god, but he also wanted to know how many worshippers he had in his kingdom. Not a very Godly motive, yet God used this to position Joseph and Mary so that the scriptures could be fulfilled and the purposes of God could be accomplished. Have you noticed how the media has flooded the markets with themes and movies about Vampires and Zombies. Many corporations are using them in their marketing schemes. God is trying to scream to us through this dark activity about His purposes and His activity. Heaven does rule. Think about Vampires and Zombies and their common traits. They are both referred to as the living dead and their life is sustained by drinking blood and eating flesh. Zombies move as armies and Vampires move at night. The Lord is saying to us through this dark emphasis in the media that He is raising up an army of the living dead(a crucified army), that is moving through the dark night of this fallen world to push back the Gates of Hell, advancing the kingdom of God, overcoming the powers of darkness. He has made provision for us to sustain life in this war torn journey, and that provision is the flesh and blood of Jesus which is “for the life of the world”.
I believe that we are going to see an increased revelation throughout the Body of Christ concerning the Eucharist. Just as Vampires must drink blood to maintain immortality, and Zombies must eat flesh to maintain immortality, the crucified ones must receive the “medicine of immortality” to sustain the abiding life of Christ in this war. The Bread of Heaven is our great gift and nourishment from our Heavenly Father.
