The Way 9/24/24 We are grafted in to Jesus’s face-to-face relationship with the Father

John 14:6

Jesus explained, “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes face to face with the Father except through union with me.”

In Christ, we who were far off were brought near. Through Christ, we have access in one Spirit to the Father– Ephesians 2:13, 18.

It’s not just that we have been brought into a face-to-face relationship with the Father; it’s that we have been brought into that place of intimate fellowship in the person of Jesus (we are grafted into His face-to-face relationship with the Father). Let that sink in! We in Christ have been brought  into the fellowship that Jesus enjoys with the Father. You and I get to participate in the glorious mutual joy and love Jesus and the Father share with each other.

The old fallen false self that was at enmity with God has died, and our life is hidden in Christ with God –Colossians 3:3. We have been joined to Jesus’s walk with and fellowship with God the Father.

Listen to how Jesus describes this glorious fellowship that He has brought us into in John 17:23 – 24, 26; “I in them, and You (Father) in Me, that they may be perfected in unity (union), that the world may know that You did send Me, and did love them (us) even as you did love Me (WOW!). Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am (where He has I am, and where I am He is), in order that they may behold My glory, which You have given Me, for you did love Me before the foundation of the world. And I have made your name known to them, and will make it known (Jesus allowing us to participate in his intimate knowledge of the Father) that the love wherewith You did love Me may be in them, and I in them (this is to be our conscious reality).” What an amazing description of the face-to-face relationship Jesus has with the Father that we get to be a part of because we are in union with Christ. The extraordinarily amazing truth is that we don’t have an independent relationship with the Father. We have a personal relationship with Him through our union with Christ’s intimate relationship with Him. Stunning!!
