In the midst of battles, freedom from fear isn’t found in some formula or spiritual exercise. It certainly isn’t found trying to get control by obsessing over your specific battle, trying to figure out what happens next (I’ve certainly tried that one before.) Freedom from fear is found in a person. Christ alone (who isn’t afraid-ever) is your freedom. He is your breakthrough. He of course, is every breakthrough. Every true lasting breakthrough, you will ever experience in the Christian life is a fresh breakthrough into a fresh revelation that Jesus is your victory. Each new “sinking into” and “resting” in Him brings a new beginning and “newness of life” in that moment, and situation.
