Are you trying to get there? You know what I mean; that place in your walk with the Lord that you’re trying to get to, in terms of no longer losing your temper, or being jealous, or being a complainer, or being controlled by lust, or being impatient, or being critical, etc. You know the “there” where you no longer do those things, or feel that way. Do you find yourself prayerfully trying harder to get “there,” but you just seem to be still so far away from true victory? Well, I have got news for you! When you became a Christian, you are spiritually born “there.” When you become a Christian, your union with Christ is personally realized, and Jesus, who is your life, is always “there.” You were born free because, as a Christian, you were placed into the life of Christ, and He is free indeed. Stop asking Jesus to give you victory. Jesus is your victory! I would encourage you to stop living the frustrated experience of trying to get “there” and instead, simply surrender step-by-step to the one who is the “there.”
