Jeremiah 29:11 NASB95
For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Do you ever look at your future with uncertainty. Do you ever wonder if your future will be as good as you hoped it would be. Do you have concerns that mistakes you have made, or decisions made by others that impact your life, or just uncertain circumstances could cost you an abundant life in the days ahead? I was asking the Lord once about my future, and He quickly said to me almost audibly, “I’m excited about your future.” Of course, my surrendered response was, “Well, if you are excited about my future then, I’m excited about my future.” Jesus immediately said, “Chuck, your future is My future, and I don’t do bad futures.” You see, I am in union with Christ, and therefore, He is my life, and as my life, our future is one, and He doesn’t do bad futures. This, of course, was not just a word for me, but I’ve shared it again and again with other people because it is His word to all who are in Christ. I don’t know what you are facing, but He does, and He doesn’t do bad futures. You can rest in that truth.
