Psalms 34:1 I WILL bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalms 97:1 The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice;Let the many islands be glad.
Psalms 97:2 Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
It’s so easy to believe God, and praise Him when things are happening as hoped, but when the goodness of God is hidden by clouds and thick darkness, confusion, fear, and unbelief can creep in. The enemy of our souls is always trying to deceive us into living in the shadows of the unknown, where fear and doubt makes their home. In the realm of nature, even when clouds and storms come, behind the darkness and turmoil stands the Sun, reigning, eventually destined to prevail.
Psalms 19:4 Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their utterances to the end of the world.
In them He has placed a tent for the sun,
Psalms 19:5 which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
Christ is our champion, and as our Redemptive Bridegroom runs His course, He knows what He is doing and He wins, not just for the sake of His glory, but for our good and our place in His glory. No matter how dark it gets, the Sun will rise. It never left. It was always there reigning, conquering, waiting to prevail in time. The Risen Lovesick Bridegroom breaking forth in victory over the darkness of death and the sealed grave is our assurance. Your Bridegroom God, from eternity traveled too far, and paid too high a price, in passion and pursuit, to not prove to be your champion of your situation that’s covered with clouds and thick darkness. Even there, maybe especially there, HE REIGNS.
Don’t live in the shadows of the valley the unknown and fear. Rise up as those who KNOW!!; those who know that behind all the darkness is a Lovesick Champion who is reigning and conquering still, those who will BLESS HIM AT ALL TIMES because they know what can’t always be seen with the naked eye is KNOWN with the eyes of faith.
