Deut. 7:6-7 “For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples,”
We were created to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and from that place of divine romance, we were to carry and reveal His presence, as we reveal and advance His kingdom. Mark 14 talks about a “Wasted” life. Mary of Bethany wasted her heart and life on Jesus, and the story of her lovesick heart is to be told everywhere the gospel is preached. The gospel’s impact on us should be that we live “wasted on” Jesus and “wasted for” Jesus as we lay our lives down for others in His name. We are carriers of His affection, presence, and kingdom. Being inebriated with His presence and commissioned with His purpose is our destiny. May we live the Great Commandment and fulfill the Great Commission.
