To see things from the eyes of Christ is to see things from heaven’s perspective. In light of the fact that you and I are in Christ seated in the heavenly places, we have the privilege, because of our Union with Christ, to see things through his eyes from Heaven’s point of view. This is at least a large part of what it means to have the mind of Christ. What a glorious view it is to see life from Heaven. Heavens’ evaluation of situations and circumstances is totally from an elevated perspective, and it is totally liberating. Earth’s report sees facts and problems, while Heaven’s report sees the truth and solutions. This is at the heart of a life of faith, for Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. Hope is the confident expectation of the activity of God, and the good his activity will bring to pass. Faith flows out of Hope. It is the evidence of the unseen. Faith does not get bogged down with earth’s report about anything because Hope is always looking for a bigger solution, and therefore, hope gives birth to the faith that is seeing from heaven’s perspective what can’t be seen from the eyes of this earth. As those in Christ seated in the heavenly places, we should always see reality through the eyes of Christ, who always sees the truth of the kingdom of heaven being at hand, which is always bigger than the problem.
