Romans 15:13 KJV
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Only those filled with joy and peace abound in hope, and joy and peace is something God fills us with as a result of a lifestyle of believing. I believe it is a filling from the inside out as a result of our union with Christ. As a matter of fact, I believe it the very joy and peace of God.
He is the God of hope, and if hope comes from being filled with joy and and peace, then our God of hope must live perpetually filled with joy and and peace. Is that your image of God?
Do you know Him as the God of hope? Do you see Him as a perfectionist who is in a bad mood, or do you see Him abounding in hope about you, and about your future, and the future of this fallen world? Do you realize that He is constantly filled with joy and peace, or has false religion robbed you of the truth of a God is really happy, even if at times His heart is broken over mankind’s brokenness?
No wonder that in His presence there is fullness of joy and pleasures forever more. OUR GOD IS RIDICULOUSLY HOPEFUL, and IS FULL OF JOY AND PEACE.
