“The just shall live by faith.” Gal. 3:11
These simple words describe to us how the Christian life is lived from man’s perspective. Even though these words are very simple, they seem to be intimidating to most Christians. There have been so many books written about faith, and so many sermons, and teachings given, that the result is that most Christians turn faith into a formula. We’ve complicated it and made it really difficult to walk in.
As I’ve grown older, I’ve become convinced that true faith has a real simplicity to it. Real faith flows out of a relationship with a real person, and therefore it be reduced to a formula. Formulas are always something that you have to memorize, but the problem is there’s always another person who comes up with a better formula, and then we have to memorize that one. We’ve made it so hard and so mechanical.
The simple truth is, faith comes from getting to know someone so well that you become convinced of certain things about them, that cause you to feel like you can relax and trust them completely. Faith is a by product of an experiential relationship. You never start with faith; you end up with it. It only takes mustard seed faith to walk in the supernatural. That’s not much, and even though faith is necessary, it isn’t the most important part; getting to know Him is.
Do you want to walk in mustard seed faith and thus live in the supernatural? Then start seeking His presence. That is the place where faith is produced. Faith is about discovering personally a Magnificent God Who is Mammothly good, that results in a Mustard Seed response, that release the divine activity of the One Who is so Big and so Good.
