Joel 2:24 The threshing floors will be full of grain,
And the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil.
The threshing floor is the place of repentance and surrender. It’s where the chaff is separated and the harvest is stored. The harvest of His presence and anointing comes to the heart that has become a threshing floor. The wine and oil speaks of fresh filings of The Holy Spirit that quickens us with presence and power, and fire.
Matt. 3:11 “As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Matt. 3:12 “His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
The sermon on the Mount tells us that blessed are those who mourn (Those who are broken over any compromise in their life, a long for more of Him) for they shall be comforted. That word “comforted” is the word “Paraclete” which is the word for The Holy Spirit. Every time your heart becomes a threshing floor of fresh repentance and surrender, you get Holy Spirited again. Therefore, those who long for all that He is and has, need to cultivate a rended heart; one that lives in unrelenting brokenness.
