Prov. 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
I heard Bill Johnson say, in explaining this verse, that God doesn’t hide things from us, but He does hide things for us. To not understand something, especially if it’s critical, can be very frustrating and disappointing, but our response must be seek Him further, with greater expectant desperation, knowing He delights to reveal His ways to us. The search itself also positions us to make more discoveries about Him than we set out to discover, which is part of the “concealing” purposes of God. If you are confused, don’t allow fear, frustration, or unbelief set in; instead SEEK the ONE who loves to see your face and loves to hear your voice. He wants us to ask Him questions, but it is not OK to question Him.
