Rev. 4:1-2 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” 2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne.
Rev. 21:5 And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”
Forty times, the throne of God is referenced in the book of the Revelation. This is a book that is all about the history of this fallen world being foretold. John is invited to see what is happening in the Heavens and what he predominantly encounters is One who sits on a throne, declaring what must take place, and in the end making all things new. This is who we serve. This is who we love; One who rules, who reigns, and in the end always makes all things new.
Revelation records all kind of demonic activity. Satan is very busy in Revelation, yet God says in 4:1 that He was going to show John what His sovereign rule had declared MUST take place. What is very clear, is that no matter how active the enemy is, God is still on His throne, He is reigning, no matter what it looks like, and in the end of every situation He makes things NEW!!!! Revelation reveals to us that in every scene of the Human story, His Throne dominates. Therefore behind every scene in your story, in every circumstance, in every battle, and every heartbreak, stands a throne reminding you that your God is Reigning, making all things new. ALLELUIA!!!!!
