Jer. 32:41, “ I will rejoice over them to do them good and will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul.”
Ps. 138:7-8, “7, Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
8, The LORD will perfect that which concerns me;
Your lovingkindness, O LORD, is everlasting;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
Our land that God has placed us in as New Testament believers is a land called “In Christ.” He is our Canaan; our promised land. In John 14, Jesus told His disciples that He was going to prepare a place for us, and the place He went to prepare for us was not Heaven one day (though that is also true) but a place called “In Christ.”
In Christ, The Father has, with His whole heart and soul, committed to us His goodness, and all His promises, because all of the promises of God are in Christ. He has actually planted or placed us into His goodness and the fullness of grace that is in Christ. 2 Cor. 1:20 says that All of His promises are YES in Christ. Even if I walk in the midst of trouble, I know that God has planted me in His goodness with all of His heart and soul, and that He has planted me into the Fullness (all sufficiency) of Christ to walk through whatever the trouble is. He is perfecting that which concerns me. He is doing my life perfectly, every step of the way. Jesus is telling His story through my story, and He is doing it one step at a time perfectly. He just wants us to trust His all sufficient grace and to trust in His wholehearted goodness toward us. His banner over us is love. Let us fearlessly rest under that reality.
I don’t know what you might be walking through, but I can tell you that no matter what you’re walking through what you’ve been planted in or placed in. You have been wholeheartedly planted into the goodness of God and into all His promises, in Christ.
