Rev. 6:1 Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, “Come.”
Rev. 6:2 I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
Jesus is our conquering hero. He is our shinning Knight on a white horse. Jesus has gone forth in your life and mine wearing a crown, as sovereign Lord and King, armed for battle. He isn’t out to negotiate with the enemy or to compromise God’s eternal purposes for your life, instead, He is there to conquer, and is conquering. If you have given the battle to Him, no matter what form that battle might have, He is released to conquer, accomplishing, as King, His eternal purposes. As a matter of fact, the One who goes out to conquer is, according to verse 6, already conquering, though you may not see it yet in the natural.
Having surrendered your issue over to Him in faith, you can go ahead and joyfully rest in the fact that the One who has taken up the battle on your behalf is already conquering. The Resurrection tells us that He is a Winner. That’s why Peter tells us that “We are born again to a living hope through the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Living with a continual disposition of confident expectation (That’s what the biblical word Hope means) because He is a Conqueror and is conquering in every situation that we trust Him with.
