1Cor. 1:30-31 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.”
Col. 2:2-3 that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Because you are In Christ, all that He is and all that He has are yours. His presence and all of the privileges of His life are your inheritance. You should never live with a sense of lack or inadequacy when facing any situation in life. Notice the first verse. It says that because, by God’s grace, we are In Christ, wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption are ours. Also notice that all of those things are a WHO that became all those virtues to us, not a WHAT that God gives us. The One in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge has become your wisdom. Will you ever come across a problem that He doesn’t have enough wisdom and knowledge for? He is also your sanctification (practical holiness) and righteousness. Righteousness and holiness is not something you become better at over time; they are a Person, who has already become that for us. Our part is to grow in our resting In Him as all those virtues in us and for us. “Thanks be to God who (continually) gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
