Jn.3:33, He who has received His testimony has set his seal to this, that God is true. 34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure. 35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.
The testimony of Jesus was the love of God. Jesus revealed to a very religious culture, full of legalism, and the fear of being rejected by God in light of any imperfections, or the lack of rule keeping, that God was actually full of kindness and kind intentions. In other words, Jesus was constantly bearing witness to the love, and goodness of God. It is interesting that verse 34 connects the full measure of the Holy Spirit with the words of Christ. Jesus had everything the Father possessed, but as He bore witness through His words of the love of God, the fullness of the Spirit was released on the earth, to the lives He bore witness to. Because we are in Christ, you and I too carry in us all that God has, and also in Union with His heart, as we bear witness to others all that we have seen and heard of God’s goodness and love, the Holy Spirit is released through us in supernatural, and life changing ways. It really is that simple.
