2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NASB)
14 For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; 15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
We know how Christ set us free from sins power to condemn us. He died for us at the Cross!
How did Christ set us free from sins power to control us? We died in Him on the Cross.
You see, you don’t have to do anything to die to sin; you already have at the Cross, in Christ. Just take hold of that fact. Believe it. Believe that Christ, by His death, has created a separation between you and your sin; that the Old Man (that is, the person, the slave to sin, you used to be) died on the Cross, and the New Man that you truly are is fully free to live in the power of the One who rose again on your behalf.
