Heb. 11:11 By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.
Many of you are facing situations in life that seem to be beyond your ability to handle. Be encouraged. Always remember that Man’s extremities are God’s opportunities. Sarah had been barren all of her life, and now on top of that, she was too old to conceive, yet God had promised. The real issue for her wasn’t whether she was able or not, but was that the God who had promised was going to be faithful. Don’t look at your situation and then look at yourself. If you do that, the situation will always look so big and you so small. Instead look at your situation and then look at your God. If you’ll do that, then you’ll discover that your God will look so Big and your problem so small.
The real question then is how do you get that ability of God at work in your particular situation. The answer is at the beginning of the verse. It says that, “By faith Sarah received ability…” She received ability. Just receive His ability. It’s that simple. Acknowledging your inability, just receive His. OK??? How do you do that? By faith!!! Huh? When someone offers you something, how do you receive it? You simply reach out your hand, take it, and say thank you. That’s it!! His ability is yours for the taking, so by faith take it and say, “Thank You.” Then get up, go face life, in the absolute, restful confidence, and expectation that He has been released and is now at work.
