We often say things like “Dare to believe,” or “Why don’t you risk believing?” The truth is, faith isn’t a risk all. There is nothing ‘daring’ about faith. As a matter of fact, to not walk in faith is risky.
We belong to a living God who is actively involved in every part of our lives. He isn’t sitting back, watching how things turn out. He is the “Great I Am.” That simply means He is the great reality, who is infinitely sufficient, able, present, available, and who is always working His plan. Think about all those things being true in every moment and situation of your life. It totally changes your perspective of the truth about the circumstances you find yourself in.
In light of all that, faith is the only logical thing a Christian can walk in. It should be the easiest thing we do. In the faith chapter, Hebrews 11, it says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God, but he who come as to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” At the heart of faith, we are simply called to believe He really is real and alive, and is actively impacting our lives. Mark 6:6 says that He wonders at our unbelief. How often does He say things like, “Fear not,” or “Be of good courage, because I am with you”? If He Truly is with us at all times, and is who He says He is, then faith should be the only obvious attitude we walk in.
