(Matt. 11:12) ” “From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force.”

The two words, “suffers violence,” is actually just one word, which means forceful or violent. The grammar used by The Holy Spirit for that word ‘violent’ is one of continual action, so let’s look at how this verse was intended to be understood. “The Kingdom of Heaven is continually violent, and violent men continually seize it.” We are going to take a couple of days to look at this because it is so important to understand what’s being said here. First, it’s not just about our seizing The Kingdom, it first is simply saying that The Kingdom is violent. That means that God’s demands on us, and therefore the Kingdoms impact on our lives, are aggressive with Holy violence. This is of course, not the violence of anger, but the demands of a jealous God, Who is a consuming fire. It is the violence of a lovesick heart that wants all of us. One thing is for sure, There is never anything casual about God, and His love for is not a passive casual love. Out of love, wisdom, and goodness, He will take, and keep on taking until we can say we have sealed our heart for love. It is true that “He won’t relent until He has it all. He wants to be able to say about us, “I am My Beloved’s (speaking of us) and her (the Brides) desire is for Me.”
