Psalm 138:8 The LORD will perfect what concerns me;
Your lovingkindness, O LORD, is everlasting;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
You and I are the works of His hands, and He will never forsake us. Sometimes we find ourselves in life where it feels and looks like He has forsaken us, but He never does. The truth is, not only has He not forsaken you, He is actually perfecting what concerns you. This scripture is like an Old Testament version of Rom. 8:28, but I think even better. You can trust that no matter what you might be going through, the One whose lovingkindness toward you is everlasting, will never forsake you, and He is doing a perfect work in your life. You can trust to Him those things that concern you, and no matter what it looks and feels like He is doing it perfectly. This has been a great comfort to me. Whenever things happen to me in the course of daily living, no matter what it is, I believe there is one who is in control of my life, and He is doing it just right. As a matter of fact, I can rest in my soul knowing that in all the things that concern me and my life, He’s not just doing it right, He is doing it perfectly.
