One Thing 9/2/14

Song 1:15  “How beautiful you are, my darling,
How beautiful you are!
Your eyes are like doves.”
Song 1:16  “How handsome you are, my beloved,
And so pleasant!
Indeed, our couch is luxuriant!
Song 2:1  “I am the rose of Sharon,
The lily of the valleys.”
Song 2:2  “Like a lily among the thorns,
So is my darling among the maidens.”
Song 2:3  “Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest,
So is my beloved among the young men.
In his shade I took great delight and sat down,
And his fruit was sweet to my taste.

O Beloved His love for is not casual toward us; instead it is full of “WOWS.” The One who loves us has Eyes of Fire. Let the words of Dan 10 sink in, as they describe His heart, and personality. “Dan. 10:6 His body also was like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a roar.” He is the most awakened, and alive person. Everything about Him is wholehearted, and His face is enlightened with joy, and His eyes are like torches as we gaze on His face. It even says here, and in other places in scripture that even His FEET are in fire. They are like burnished bronze, that have just come out of the fire. They have fire in them, and they glow. Rev. 2:18 ¶ “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: ¶ The Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like burnished bronze, says this…” His feet didn’t reluctantly pursue us. He didn’t shuffle toward the Cross, but in love His feet were on fire as He ran to the Cross in pursuit of us. He roared, and still roars with wholeheartedness toward us. May we roar back.
