The Holy Spirit will lead us into the wilderness knowing that the devil awaits us there. If you have been crying out for more from The Lord then often the door called wilderness is what you must pass through to transition from one room into a larger in the things of the spirit. It is only in the process of overcoming do we become Overcomers. The Lord uses the wilderness and the assault of the enemy in the wilderness to cause us to lean more heavily in God’s direction. Listen to the words of Song of Solomon 8, “Who is this coming up out of the wilderness leaning on her Beloved.” The phrase “Who is this….,” indicates change has occurred. In the wilderness we either fall in love or become beleaguered and bitter. It always changes us, one way or another. It’s in the wilderness where He becomes the love of our life. It is always in the crucible that we discover at deeper levels that He is our Beloved. In that place of intense warfare we learn to radically lean on the one who loves us with perfect love. It’s there that mustard seeds come to life. Notice, that having passed through the wilderness, Jesus moved into a larger room. He now began to be released in THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
