Colossians 3:3-4 AMP
[3] For you died [the old fallen false self] , and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. [4] When Christ, who is our life, is manifested , then you also will be manifested with Him in glory.
If the new, real you is hidden in Christ then nothing can get to you without having to face Jesus. The focus of the gospel isn’t that the old you died, but is that the old you died so that a new you could emerge in Christ in His resurrection. If the enemy tries to attack you as an individual, you can simply rest in your hiddenness, trusting Jesus to deal with him. The enemy always try to draw us out into the open mentally (pulling us into forgetting who we are, and where we are[in Christ] and luring us into striving warfare) so that he can terrorize us. When he fiercely comes, and he at times will, don’t practice the presence of darkness. Instead, remember that you are hidden in Christ, SEATED in the heavenly places, and from that seated (resting) place of All authority, lend your voice to Jesus, and in union with the One in whom you are hidden say “Boo!!” and watch the enemy flee. Don’t be intimidated by the devil. Stay hidden and enjoy Jesus intimidating him.
