Romans 6:10-11 NASB95
For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. [11] Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
The life that Jesus is living to God is the life that we have been included in. The Christian life is our experiencing Jesus’s experience. Any authentic breakthrough is a fresh, expanded personal experience of the spiritual life that Jesus lives. The abundant life that Jesus promises us is not something that He gives us. Instead, it is our incorporation into His life. Jesus didn’t say, “I came to give you abundant life.” He said, “I came that you might have life and have it more abundantly.” The abundant life that we get to enjoy is our participation in the abundant life that Jesus himself lives and experiences. Just think of it; we have been included in the mind of Christ, the emotions of Christ, the obedient heart of Christ, the anointing of Christ, the holiness of Christ, the wisdom of Christ, the righteousness of Christ, the love of Christ for others, the patience of Christ, the power of Christ etc., etc.
Everything authentic about the Christian life is summed up in Jesus. Christianity is not about you as an individual being blessed by God. It is about God incorporating you into the life of blessing Jesus lives. Every fresh blessing along the path of your Christian life is connected with some new unveiling of the person of Christ to your soul. It is a fresh revelation of what (actually who) you already have in possession. It is a new opportunity to by faith experientially possess more of your possessions. Maybe it would be better said, to possess experientially more of what He possesses.
