As I have said before the nature of the fight that the Christian is involved in is not a fight in order to reach the place of victory, but, occupying the position already obtained for him or her by Christ, he fights from it. We must move from the mindset of victims to the mindset of Overcomers. Jesus said in this world we will have tribulation. Having said that, spiritual victims live with the attitude that conflict will come with the expectation of defeat; but Overcomers live knowing the conflict will come, but they live with the expectation of victory. Victory is not something we accomplish; Jesus has already accomplished our victory over sins power, therefore victory is something that we receive by faith moment by moment. Again, victory is not something achieved by us, but simply received by us, since he has already achieved it for us, and wants to enforce that victory in us as we simply thank Him for it step by step. 1 John 5:4, For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
