Ezek. 42:13 ¶ Then he said to me, “The north chambers and the south chambers, which are opposite the separate area, they are the holy chambers where the priests who are near to the LORD shall eat the most holy things. There they shall lay the most holy things, the grain offering, the sin offering and the guilt offering; for the place is holy.
Ezek. 42:14 “When the priests enter, then they shall not go out into the outer court from the sanctuary without laying there their garments in which they minister, for they are holy. They shall put on other garments; then they shall approach that which is for the people.”
Ezek. 42:5 Now the upper chambers were smaller because the galleries took more space away from them than from the lower and middle ones in the building.
In this Hebrew month of Elul (the month of Presence) we are reminded that we are people who are called to dwell in, and carry His presence. The Chambers spoken of were attached to the Inner Court and speak of The Secret Place where we are all called to cultivate and capture His nearness. We were crested for His nearness, and it is only as people anointed with His presence do we “Become”. Paul said in Acts that “In Him we live and move and are (Become)”. In that place where we behold His Beauty we get to eat the “most holy things.” Being fed by, and in His Presence is imperative to our spiritual health. By the way, Eucharist is profoundly a public place offer to personally come to His table and feed on His Presence. That’s why the Early Church offered Eucharist everyday, as we should. The last part of verse 14 speaks of approaching the people. You can’t feed others with His presence unless you’ve been fed in and by His presence in the Holy Chamber. Only those full of Him have any left overs to offer others. They don’t need what you have to offer of you, they need the overflow of Nearness you carry out of The Secret Place. I can always tell when some person is feeding me intriguing nuggets as opposed to transferable nearness. Get alone with Him and feed on His presence, for only He can satisfy. Taste and see that The Lord IS SOOO GOOD!!!
