“My times are in Thy hand.” That is from Psalm 31, and it reminds us that there is someone bigger than us that is ordering our days and our lives. There are so many things that happen in our daily lives that can cause frustration, and anxiety if we don’t rest in the reality that all the surprises, delays, and the activity of other people fit perfectly into His schedule. The problem is that He doesn’t ask our permission to impose His schedule over ours. I can’t figure out why God doesn’t more often get our council on budgeting time:) Most people hate to be interrupted. The problem is, God evidently delights in interrupting our ordered lives. Who does He think He is? Yikes!! I guess that’s the wrong question. The real question is who do we think we are, questioning Him, and complaining when He interrupts our plans. The One whose supernatural brilliance, and wisdom is beyond our comprehension, has proven the true nature of His love for us. He can be trusted. We should see every interruption and change of plans as a redemptive act of One who is making sure we live our destiny, even in the small details of our day. He uses all things, including the activity of others, to manipulate the “times” of our lives so that we can fulfill our destiny and arrive at our Pre-Destination. Enjoy the day today knowing that your times are in His hands.
