Rev. 8:3 ¶ Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne.
Rev. 8:4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.
Song 2:14 ¶ “O my dove, in the clefts of the rock,
In the secret place of the steep pathway,
Let me see your form,
Let me hear your voice;
For your voice is sweet,
And your form is lovely.”
Zech. 2:13 ¶ “Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD; for He is aroused from His holy habitation.”
In the Secret Place, where all prayers are offered, God’s heart is SO aroused. It’s not just the prayers of certain people that arouse His heart, Rev.8:3 says it’s the prayers of ALL the saints that have incense added to them, and are offered on the Golden Altar of Incense. All these prayers from ALL believers, no matter how simple, or how broken a Christian they come from, are a sweet smelling fragrance to Him. They bring great delight and joy to His great heart. They so stir Him that Rev.4:5 describe His stirred heart by saying that from the throne comes flashes of lightening and peals of thunder. That is certainly no passive response. O how He loves to hear your voice. My constant desire is that His voice would stir and arouse my heart like that. Please don’t let the devil convince you that God is so disgusted with you that He doesn’t want to hear from you, or that your prayers are just a repeated bother to Him, and are unimportant to Him. The sound of your voice causes the Great Heart to quake. Arouse His heart today, even if for just a moment. Pray!!!
