John 3:31 “He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. 32 What He has seen and heard, of that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. 33 He who has received His testimony has set his seal to this, that God is true. 34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure. 35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. 36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
As I’m sure you probably noticed I’ve been really infatuated with these verses from the Gospel of John. I believe they are game changers, in reference to a life of faith. Jesus was the author and the perfecter of faith, and therefore as the second Adam, he didn’t just come to die for us, but he also came to live for us and show us how to live a life of faith as a Spirit filled man. Because he had been taught by the Father, Jesus as the Son of Man lived on earth with a heavenly mind. He saw all reality from heaven’s perspective superseding any reality that he saw from from fallen earth’s perspective. Verse 35 says that the Father loves the son, but it also says that the Father equipped Jesus by giving Him, according to John 16, all things of the Father. All that the Father had, and was, filled Jesus by the Holy Spirit. Verse 32 says that Jesus lived his life bearing witness of all that he had seen and heard concerning heavenly realities; and verse 34 says because Jesus spoke the words of God about, and into every situation , The Spirit whom he carried in fullness, was released without measure into all those places, situations, and ministry opportunities. This is how Jesus lived by faith. Instead of reacting to life’s situations from earth’s perspective, which is governed by how we feel, and what we see with our eyes; he spoke the word of God; the reality of God about each situation, and in doing so the Holy Spirit was released without measure, which resulted in atmospheres, situations, and people being transformed.
