Do we really understand the incredible mystery of Col. 3:3-4. If we did our self consciousness, and life view would never be the same again. You would never recover from the awestruck wonder of it all. To wake up everyday, no matter the trial you might be existing in, dominated by fascination is the reality of the “little child” Christian who has been freed from the weighty and constricting dragon skin of cynicism, and woundedness. Oh yeah, here are those mind blowing verses;
Colossians 3:3-4
[3] For the old you has died, and now your true life is hidden with Christ in God. [4] And as Christ himself is seen for who he really is, who you really are will also be revealed, in glory!
Just think what life would be like if for just one day you were placed into the life of Jesus and He took over your story and made it His, and through your body He lived His life by His resurrected power. What if you knew that your future was to experience that kind of life everyday.
What if you, the true new you, were truly fused into the stuff of Jesus’s life and existence? Not only would it transform your daily life, your idea of future plans, but what about your quest for intimacy with the Heavenly, Father, and your quest for a greater anointing of the Holy Spirit? If Christ is actually your life, then you would have Jesus’s relationship with the Father, and His anointing with the Holy Spirit. How awesome it would be to live experientially with the mind of Christ as your mind, having His consciousness at all times of the Father’s nearness, and infinite affection, and His consciousness of the unquenchable and unmeasured fire of the Holy Spirit on your life. If you are hidden (fused) into the life of Christ, that awareness is not only your awareness, it’s your reality.
I live with Holy imagination, and anticipation all the time because of who I am hidden in Christ. Don’t you? If you are hidden in Christ then it is hard to have a bad day because He doesn’t; and it’s hard to be in a bad mood because He never is, and He is our life. Personality types help identify our uniqueness, but they should never dictate what kind of day we have the life we live. Only Jesus, and what He is capable of revealed through our unique personalities dictates our true identity and reality. Living from Christ, not for Christ.
