Philippians 4:13 AMPC
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]
1 Thessalonians 5:18 TPT
And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus.
In this fallen world, we are constantly being confronted with personal situations or ministry opportunities that feel beyond our ability to deal with. When the 12 spies were sent into the land of promise to spy out what the people of Israel were facing, the majority report was that there were giants in the land and the people of God were like grasshoppers in comparison. Those were the facts, but 2 of the spies kept their eyes on the truth, and sometimes the truth and facts aren’t in agreement with each other. The facts were, there were giants in the land, but the truth was that the Giants were grasshoppers compared to how big God was. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 in the KJV says, “Faithful is he who calls you who also will do it.” We are never called into any situation to try and do our best for God. I can do all things in Christ, who continually strengthens me with his strength. Those two simple words, “all things” in the original Greek, literally means “all things.” There will never be a situation or ministry opportunity that you find yourself in that he is not more adequate for. Therefore we can walk into any circumstance giving thanks. We give thanks because whatever it is you might be facing today, it is just another one of the all things that he is more than big for. Remember, faith isn’t believing that he can; faith is trusting (giving thanks) that he
