One Thing 8/11/20 Celebrating the unique You

“Therefore if any person is engrafted in Christ, he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old, previous moral and spiritual condition has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, AMP)

John 10:10 TPT

A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!

Galatians 5:22 TPT

But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faithfulness that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.

This new life, which has begun, is, of course, the Life of the Lord Jesus, and your personality becomes His means of expression. This person that you are now in union with Christ is a person that you could wake up to every morning and celebrate. Colossians 3:11 says that Christ is all and in all. Consciously throughout the day, simply stop and thank the Father that Christ is living in you, and His all is at your disposal. This is your new identity, and this is your new adventure. Who you are, with your unique personality, and even the weaknesses that you tend toward have become the vehicle for his divine activity. Even in your weaknesses, His strength is made perfect! That’s right, your weaknesses are perfect because they perfect Him. Your weaknesses give him special opportunities to show off His power in your life, for 2 Corinthians 12:2 says, “when you are weak, then you are strong.” You don’t need to waste one more minute wishing that you were somehow different; wishing that somehow you had a different personality, or being deceived into thinking that somehow your physical appearance holds you back from experiencing a full, and joyful life. The Psalms say that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. It speaks about your frame and, and your inward parts. Both your physical appearance, and your internal personality type are the tailor-made person through which Jesus wants to reveal Himself. There are unique ways in which He can reveal Himself only through you, and who you are and how you look. Never compare yourself to another, because if you were them, then you could never know the wonderfully wild ride of Jesus living His life fully through the unique container of his glory and divine adequacy that you are. Your self-image as a new creation IN CHRIST is intertwined with HIS SELF, and your divine destiny, which is allowing Christ who is your life to manifest His life through you (the rare, exclusive you that you are in all the expressions inside out that make you you) will leave a unique imprint in this life that no one else other than you in Christ could leave. Not only is He your glorious inheritance; you are His glorious inheritance. Jesus had a body through which He could live on this earth 2000 years ago, but today, He has more than just a body, He has a person with a personality who has a body through which He joins himself to so that in union with that person He might live His life through them, and liberate their fallen story into His resurrection story. Thus Colossians 3:4, “when Christ, who is our life is revealed, YOU will be revealed with Him in GLORY. What an amazing person you are. Wake up every day, worshiping Him, and celebrating You. You aren’t just a new creation; You are His new creation because Ephesians 2:10 says that YOU were created in Christ Jesus; therefore, He loves it when you celebrate you, because whenever you celebrate you, you are glorifying Him.
