Gal. 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
In the last devotional I said that there were two simple things we must do to release the life of the Risen in us and through us, and the first thing is He must be surrendered to as absolute Lord in your heart, and in all of the situations of your life. If He is Lord at all, then He must be Lord of all. A Lord can’t share control, instead, He as Lord must be King without rivals. Secondly, we must live by faith. The One in whom is given total sovereignty in your life must be trusted. Only when He is allowed to govern can’t He be trusted to release His divine activity, but He doesn’t respond to surrender alone. He responds in faithfulness to faith. Having yielded, and now resting in an anticipated God given victory, He releases His resurrection life and power. Remember, faith isn’t pleading it is confidently resting in His ability and wisdom in each temptation and circumstance. Faith isn’t hoping, it is knowing, and gratefully, recklessly, relaxing in that knowing.
