One Thing 7/6/23 Are you asking for what you already have?

Christians rightfully long to experience all the spiritual blessings that God longs for us to experience. The problem is that many, if not most Christians, spend their time asking God for things that God has already given them in Christ. Salvation isn’t some transaction that we have with God because of what Christ did. Salvation is in the person of Christ. By being in Christ, we are saved; and because we are in Christ, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly’s. Ephesians 1:3. There is no new creation apart from a person’s union with the incarnate Christ. There is no spiritual blessing that comes as some separate gift. All spiritual blessings come because we are sharing in the one who includes within Himself all spiritual blessings.

“Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness.” 2 Peter 1:3.

You are a co-heir with Christ, and therefore everything that Christ has, including His relationship with the Father and the Holy Spirit, and everything that Christ is, is yours. You’ll never have more than that, and you need never settle for experiencing less. Christians have got to stop thinking about what Jesus can give to them and start believing what Jesus wants to manifest in them and through them. Have you been asking for more patience, joy, peace, love, or anointing? There is no need to ask for those things when Jesus is already all of that in you. Those are just some examples of how we ask for and even plead for God to give us things that Christ already is in us. Let me quote that verse from Ephesians 1:3 fully, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly’s IN CHRIST.”
