Philippians 1:9 NASB
[9] And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,
Ephesians 3:12 NASB
[12] in whom we have boldness and confident access through HIS faith.
John 3:31-32 NASB
[31] “He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. [32] What He has seen and heard, of that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony.
Faith is all about perception, and faith happens when we simply come into agreement with what Jesus sees from heavens perspective. That verse in Ephesians, literally says we have boldness and confidence through His faith. We are called to live by the faith of the son of God, and it’s not important if you believe for something; the real issue is does HE believe for it. If HE believes for something, then we are simply called to rest in HIS faith. That’s what our faith looks like; resting in HIS faith, and HIS faith is in union with the perception of heaven.
Paul prayed in Philippians 1 that the Philippian believers would abound more in their love for Jesus in real knowledge. That word “knowledge” is the word for experiential knowledge, that comes from intimacy and encounter. Paul prays that their love for Jesus would grow extravagantly as a result of presence, and the cultivation of the experience of the presence of Jesus. Paul also added that they would grow in discernment. The word discernment should be literally translated “perception.” Real faith, that flows in ever-increasing childlike depth, flows from experiential intimacy with the presence of Christ. If we are going to perceive from HIM with the eyes of faith from heavens perspective, then we must make gazing on HIM in intimate fellowship as the priority of our lives. If we are going to go farther in faith, then we have to go deeper and fellowship.
