“And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of Hosts.”- Hag 2:7
Matthew 28:18-20 NASB
[18] And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, f even to the end of the age.” …
John 15:26-27 NASB
[26] “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me, [27] and i you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning. …
Jesus is the desire of the nations, and all human brokenness is a visible and distorted cry for Jesus to come and heal. Even though the name of Jesus may not be on their lips, the cry of all fallen humanity, even though maybe ignorant of what they are crying for, is for Christ to come and bring healing. As the church, we are the newest version of the body of Jesus, and it is through us His body, that Jesus brings healing to broken humanity. You and I as believers are the only body that Jesus has, and his assignment has not changed from the one he carried out while he walked on the earth through the borrowed body that came forth from the Virgin’s womb. Everywhere Jesus went, and everyone Jesus touched experienced heaven coming to earth, and the healing that the reign of God brings. Jesus carried, by the Holy Spirit, the life of the Father, and he revealed and manifested that life in fullness, as he released the reality of the kingdom of heaven on earth, one person at a time. Even when Jesus spoke to crowds, and heaven came to earth through his words, he was touching, and transforming individuals for whom he would soon die, so that you and I could go forth as his new body proclaiming his victory over Satan, death, sin, sickness, and human brokenness, bringing heaven to earth one person at a time. Your identity is Christ Himself, for as Christians you are in Christ, and your assignment is His, for he is continuing on earth through you, what he began and accomplished 2000 years ago in his earthly ministry, and his finished work at the Cross. As the Holy Spirit bears witness of Christ in us, our assignment is to bear witness of Christ to the world, so that Jesus can continue, through us, to bring heaven to earth. He has made our job easy, for our fight is a fight of faith in a victory already won. We have an unfair advantage in the fight, post Calvary, because the strongman has already been bound up, and we are simply called to manifest the fullness of Christ, bringing the reality of the kingdom of heaven to earth, plundering everything the strong man had captured and imprisoned. We are not called to plod away, pleading for victory as we minister to a broken world. Instead we are called to go forth skipping with Hinds feet on high places proclaiming a victory already won, and enforcing it one person at a time. Thus the mandate, “Go therefore into all the world…”
